Archery is one of the 26 olympic sports. Archery is when you use a bow and arrows and shoot at a target. It is an interesting sport to learn, but just like any other sport it takes practice.
The object of archery is to shoot at a target with a bow and arrows and you try to get as close as possible to the red middle. In Olympic Archery, the target has to stand at least 70 meters away from the line where you stand and shoot from, and the target has ten circle's,starting with the gold bull's eye which is always 1.2 meters above the ground for shooting. If an arrow goes into another arrow (which is called a "Robin Hood'),the score of the first arrow is taken. If an arrow misses the target, they don't get a point.
The equipment you need for archery is a bow and arrows and padding (a wrist gaurd, and a shooting glove is optional, and a target .Most of the time olympic archers use 3 arrows. Archery uses the olympic values, just like the archers do.
