Athletics is a sport that contains...the Throw Event,Jumping Event, and the Track Event. The Throw Event is where you do the Discus, Hammer, Javelin, and the Shotput. The Jumping Event is where you do the Long Jump,Triple Jump,High Jump,and the Pole Vault. The Track Event is where you do the100m dash all the way to the 1000m dash. - Of course you will need equipment you will need Spike Shoes and a Track Vest. The Sport athletics was invented by the Greeks and the Fheidippides. It was invented in the 9th and 10th century. The rules is that you can't go out of the "line" that they put you in. Another is that you can't go until they shoot the gun.
